Martyn Whittingham, PhD, FAGPA

Focused Brief Group Therapy is an integrative interpersonal approach designed to reduce interpersonal distress in less than eight sessions. Blending Yalom's interpersonal model with the interpersonal circumplex, it personalizes group therapy, by establishing an individualized focus for the work. It also integrates polyvagal theory, multicultural theory and common factors of change, into a semi-structured brief approach that allows therapist and client to transparently collaborate on change. FBGT is utilized across the USA as well as internationally.
